In French, FAST is referred to as EXPRESS. It is a clearance procedure for known low-risk shipments. The Free and Secure Trade program is a mutual program between the United States Customs and Border protection and Canada Border Services Agency. The Fast and Secure Trade Program (FAST Program) offers pre authorized importers, carriers and driver expedited clearance for eligible goods. Basic Participation Requirements for United States and Canada for the Fast and Secure Trade Program (FAST Program)
It should be a C TPAT approved carrier for whatsoever truck that is using FAST lane.
It should be a C TPAT approved importer for carrying qualifying goods.
The driver must be in the possession of a valid FAST Commercial Driver Registration ID Card.
The manufacturer should be an approved C TPAT participant.
They must be complying with the Customs and Border Protection high security seal requirements.
Fast and Secure Trade program is strictly voluntary. In completing the application form, all the data that has been given will be used to specify its eligibility.
